Fire curtains

Fire curtains are passive fire protection systems used to prevent the spread of fire and smoke in buildings. They act as fire-resistant barriers, separating spaces and limiting the spread of fire, giving valuable time for the evacuation of the building and the intervention of the fire brigade.

Key features

  • Material: Made of fiberglass with a special coating
  • Function: They are rolled up into a roll and are automatically activated in the event of a fire, unrolling vertically and creating a fire-resistant barrier.
  • Durability: They withstand high temperatures for a specific period of time (e.g. 30, 60, 120 minutes), depending on their specifications.
  • Applications: They are used in various applications, such as:
    • Covering openings in walls and ceilings
    • Separating spaces in shopping malls, hospitals, theaters, etc.
    • Protection of openings in industrial buildings

Advantages

  • Flexibility: They can be adapted to various sizes and shapes of openings.
  • Aesthetics: They are discreetly integrated into the architecture of the building.
  • Space saving: They do not require a large space for their installation.

Global Systems fire curtains are lightweight single-layer curtains EI 15/30/45/60/120 without sprinklers. Grey exterior. Galvanized metal parts with the option of electrostatic painting in a color of your choice.

Types of fire curtains depending on the mode of operation

  • GSF KPR EI Fire Curtain with electric drive
  • GSF KPR EI Fire Curtain with fusible link

Types of fire curtains depending on certified fire resistance

  • EI120 electric drive
  • EI90 electric drive
  • EI60
  • EI45
  • EI30
  • EI15

The fire curtain operates either by using

  • Electric motor – can work with the central fire alarm system
  • Fuse safety – in the event of a fire, the fuse melting at 70°C will release the fire curtain and it will descend by gravity, sealing the opening.

OPTIONAL FEATURES

  • Electrostatic painting of metal parts (guides, box, etc.) in RAL color of choice
  • Smoke tightness Class Sa, S₂₀₀
  • Durability of self-closing – against degradation (cycling testing) C0, C1 or C2
  • Resistance to wind load Class1, Class2 or Class3
  • Durability of self-closing – against aging (corrosion) Class3

ADVANTAGES

  • Lightweight single-piece construction without sprinkler
  • Lighter support structure
  • Smaller space requirements
  • Large area coverage
  • Competitive price

Certification: Fire resistance index EI15, EI30, EI45, EI60, EI90 and EI120 based on European Regulations EN 16034:2014 and EN 13241:2003+A2:2016

Important:

  • The selection of the appropriate type of fire curtain depends on the needs of each building and the fire protection requirements.
