Fire curtains are passive fire protection systems used to prevent the spread of fire and smoke in buildings. They act as fire-resistant barriers, separating spaces and limiting the spread of fire, giving valuable time for the evacuation of the building and the intervention of the fire brigade.
Key features
- Material:Â Made of fiberglass with a special coating
- Function:Â They are rolled up into a roll and are automatically activated in the event of a fire, unrolling vertically and creating a fire-resistant barrier.
- Durability:Â They withstand high temperatures for a specific period of time (e.g. 30, 60, 120 minutes), depending on their specifications.
- Applications:Â They are used in various applications, such as:
- Covering openings in walls and ceilings
- Separating spaces in shopping malls, hospitals, theaters, etc.
- Protection of openings in industrial buildings
Advantages
- Flexibility: They can be adapted to various sizes and shapes of openings.
- Aesthetics: They are discreetly integrated into the architecture of the building.
- Space saving: They do not require a large space for their installation.
Global Systems fire curtains are lightweight single-layer curtains EI 15/30/45/60/120 without sprinklers. Grey exterior. Galvanized metal parts with the option of electrostatic painting in a color of your choice.
Types of fire curtains depending on the mode of operation
